Golden Interests, LLC is a boutique management consulting and investment firm that advises companies and new ventures on corporate development, strategy, business building, and financial planning and analysis frameworks and processes. Garrett K. (Gary) Golden is President and Founder of the firm.

Gary Golden is a broadly experienced senior executive and consultant who has held CFO, Corporate Development, HR, Corporate Services, International and Legal leadership roles. He has a deep background in M&A and Corporate Finance, having closed over 100 transactions. Gary has a strong operating orientation, having developed and executed changes in business plans and processes that build sustainable organizations.

Gary advises companies on business planning and building, corporate development, strategy, raising capital, and financial planning and analysis frameworks. He has served as CEO of an early-phase business services company. He has advised health care, travel, media, security, and online businesses and their investors. He is recognized as a creative problem solver, clear communicator, skilled negotiator, effective consensus generator, and successful team builder.

Previously, Gary held various leadership positions at Sabre Holdings, a world leader in travel technology and distribution. His most recent role there was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Planning, where he led Strategy, M&A, Treasury, and Corporate Services functions. He spearheaded many initiatives that repositioned the company from a legacy travel transaction processor to a global travel commerce company. He was also instrumental in building Travelocity.com from an early-phase company to a leading online travel agency.

Gary has held Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer roles. At Sabre, he was based in London and was responsible for these functions for the company’s various businesses in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. As CFO of Westec Intelligent Surveillance, he developed and enhanced the company’s financial and administrative infrastructure and was instrumental in redirecting the business to a recurring revenue, “software as a service” model. Gary began his career as an M&A and Securities attorney with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld and continued as Corporate Counsel for AMR/American Airlines, holding positions of increasing responsibility.

Gary holds law and business degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a graduate of the Finance Certificate Program of Southern Methodist University’s Graduate School of Business. He resides in Dallas, Texas.
